Information Technology & Information Technology Enabled Services (IT & ITES) sectors have emerged as key economic engines of our nation. Rajasthan is also poised to capitalize on the growth opportunities in this sector and to emerge as one of the front runner states.

The IT and ITES policy 2007 of the Government of Rajasthan being hereby released will endeavor to focus attention on three important areas to bring about the sustainable development in this critical sector. Rolling out of e-Government so that delivery of public services to the common man at his door step is ensured. The State Government is committed to reengineering its own processes to facilitate the same. Secondly, this policy attempts to put in place an investment conducive environment through strategic initiatives, concessions and facilitation. Also, most importantly, we need to encourage the talent pool of our youth so as to make them employable in the Knowledge Economy.

I am confident that this policy document will achieve the goals set out for the State. I invite you to take full advantage of this document and to transform Rajasthan into a leader amongst the states of our country.
