

Human Resource Development
State Government has laid emphasis on Talent Development of trained manpower, specifically for IT & ITeS sector. M/s Hewitt Associates, globally reputed HR consultant has prepared of the Talent Development Road Map of the State.
· NASSCOM Assessment of Competence (NAC): To enhance the scope of Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) Sector in Rajasthan, assessment of Soft Skills has been launched in association with NASSCOM under the project NASSCOM Assessment of Competence (NAC) thus making Rajasthan the first State to launch NASSCOM’s NAC. First test was held successfully on November 18, 2006 more than 2500 candidates took the test. A job fair for the successful candidates was held in Jaipur on March 31 and April 1, 2007. Approximately 1600 interviews were conducted by 11 major IT companies where more than 600 candidates were found to be meeting the industry requirement.
· Gen Gyan: Education on wheels ‘Gen Gyan’ is a system of imparting quality education in computers, IT and basic English language skills to the last rung - the economically disadvantage strata of society with a focus at children residing in slums. 5 Buses fitted with computers and other teaching aids and having teachers onboard not only provide facilities for education/skill up gradation but also develop civic sense, personal & community hygiene and promote water conservation through public participation and awareness.
· Women empowerment: Training for IT skills enhancement and entrepreneurship, especially for running e-Mitra Kiosks is being provided to women across the State. Nearly 1500 women were trained in the first phase and same number is being targeted in the current phase. Government of Rajasthan is partnering with Bansthali Vidyapeeth to provide I.T. and entrepreneurship training to about 3000 women across the State.
· Capacity Building in Government Domain - It is the intent of the State Government to ensure that all the government employees are trained in the use of IT. The decision has been taken to train each and every employee (Class III and above) so as to derive the envisaged benefits from various e-Governance projects. At the initiation of Department of I.T. & C., training programs are being conducted through private institutes at district level. 5000+ employees were trained across the State in the financial year 2006-07.
Bio-informatics Center - Advanced Bio-informatics center has been set up in partnership with Birla Institute of Scientific Research. In accordance with the budget declaration of Hon’ble CM’s Budget Speech 2007-08, Government has provided one-time capital support of Rs. 100 Lacs. This initiative is expected to provide employment potential to the existing bio-technology, medical and science graduates.
