RKCL’s RSCIT
- RCKL: has been set up in the
State with an aim to provide IT education in remote rural areas of the State thus bridging the
digital divide and providing a solution to the last mile connectivity issue. RKCL’s ‘RS-CIT’ has
been approved by Government of Rajasthan and after due approval of the Government orders for
reimbursement of fees to Government employees have also been issued.
From
October 2010 onward with government approval, district training is out sourced to
RKCL for conducting computer training programmes at district level with their IT Gyan
Kendra.

Reimbursement
for Indira Gandhi Open National University’s courses
:
With a view to encourage IT skill development in Government sector, Government of Rajasthan has
decided to reimburse the fees, as per the guidelines issued by the State Government, to government
personnel successfully completing MCA, BCA and Certificate courses in IT.
Total
135 government employees successfully completed the IGNOU course and fee was reimbursed in current
financial year 2010-11.

Infrastructure creation in educational institutes
:
IT infrastructure in form of 10 computer each has been established in 10 Government Girls Schools
and 8 Colleges under Government of India funded infrastructure scheme. Infrastructure to be
installed in 20 more schools (10 computer per school) to be installed in the current financial
year

It is the intent of the State Government to ensure that all the government employees are trained in
the use of IT. The decision has been taken to train each and every employee (Class III and above)
so as to derive the envisaged benefits from various e-Governance projects. At the initiation of
Department of I.T. & C., . From October 2010 onward with government approval, district training
is out sourced to RKCL for conducting computer training programmes at district
level with their IT Gyan Kendra. Through RS-LITE programme approximately 3000 government employees
benefitted in all district during 2009-2011 and approximately 11946 government employees were
trained in the current financial year 2010-11 in RS-CIT course

Gyan
:
Education on wheels ‘Gen Gyan’ is a system of imparting quality education in computers, IT and
basic English language skills to the last rung - the economically disadvantage strata of society
with a focus at children residing in slums. 5 Buses fitted with computers and other teaching aids
and having teachers onboard not only provide facilities for education/skill up gradation but also
develop civic sense, personal & community hygiene and promote water conservation through public
participation and awareness.
