Churu, also known as Gateway to the Thar Desert of Rajasthan is famous for its marvelous Havelis, Chhatris and fresco paintings. Churu lies on National Highway 65 connecting Ambala and Pali. It is a junction station for commuting to Bikaner. The city has scanty vegetation and is encircled by shifting sand dunes.
