Churu, also known as Gateway to the Thar Desert of Rajasthan is famous for its marvelous Havelis, Chhatris and fresco paintings. Churu lies on National Highway 65 connecting Ambala and Pali. It is a junction station for commuting to Bikaner. The city has scanty vegetation and is encircled by shifting sand dunes.

Jaipur airport is the nearest airport to Churu. 189 kms far away from the town, there are taxies and state buses available for connecting the distance.

Churu has its own railway junction well connected by local trains with the neighbour cities and alos some of the neighbour states through selected trains.

Churu is connected to fellow cities in Rajasthan by road and to the connected states by various national highways. RSRTC and private buses run frequently to and from the Churu to nearby cities.
